On the 09/03/2013 i went to Game Sandton to purchase few items, it was all well until i got to the till point. I gave the cashier my RCS card to pay for the goods and she requested my identity document which is part of the verification procedure. After giving her my identity document she processed the sale and then wrote my identity number on the tax invoice which she intended to keep. At that moment i made it clear to her that i was uncomfortable with her writting my identity number on the tax invoice as it is confidential information which can cause great damage to me if fallen on wrong hands and which should not be taken without my permission. She then replied with attitude that it was procedure to do so, and i requested to see her superior who came and was not helpful as she didn't try to understand what i was saying instead concluded that i was refusing to issue my ID. After a long argument i requested to see the store manager a lady came who didn't introduce herself, i explained my concern to her and requested her to erase the numbers which she reluctenly did but not to my satisfaction as i could still read them clearly. I feel this is a bad practice and put cutomers at risk
