Inefficient Billing System / Lack of Comms

Hi

On Wednesday 10 April I made a purchase at Identity with my credit card for goods. At the point of sale the purchase was unsuccessful on the suppliers system and successful on my side as I received a sms that the transaction went through. The manager came and explained that if the system does not print a receipt it has not gone through. I argued to say that I'm not paying twice for something. She advised that she will call me on Friday morning as she wants to check her reports if it went through. She called me back and advised it has not gone through on their system.

From my perspective I checked my statement and the transaction has gone through. The manager requested that I must leave my goods behind because she can't get hold of anyone at the Accounts Department. This is not my issue as I paid for something which I currently don't have. I got home and called the call centre and the agent requested me to send my statement through and it will be sorted out by today

Until now I have heard no communication on the situation from anyone and tonight I will go back to the store to collect my goods. I'm going to take further action if there are any issues.
