I was given a Nine West handbag as a gift and when i started using it, the leather started peeling and it looks terrible.
I've used Nine west handbags in the past and have never experienced this sort of issue before.
I took in the bag to Nine west Cresta to enquire and got the following response: "Afternoon P---a, unfortunately without a proof of purchase we are unable to accomodate your request. We do understand that it was a gift. As per company policy a proof of purchase is required for an exchange to occur. Regards Nine West Cresta."
If company policy is that a proof of purchase is required, then there was no need to keep my bag for 1-2 weeks just to provide me with no actual feedback. It was brought to my attention that a proof of purchase is required but i had confirmed that the bag was gift and i do not have a proof of purchase at the time of enquiry with Nine West Cresta.
I find it unacceptable that there's nothing Nine West can do just because I have no proof of purchase. It's impossible to obtain a proof of purchase for a gift.
