It's a pity that I did not read Hello Peter before I bought my Tissot PRC 200 four years ago, as there seem to be many complaints similar to mine below.
About two years ago, my Tissot started losing time - about 5 minutes per day. I took it back to the store where I purchased it. They inserted a new battery, but it continued to lose time, so I was told to pay about R3, 000 to fix it. I then complained to The Swatch Group Headquarters and was told to bring the watch back in to be assessed.
Anyway, after a long drawn-out saga, they got back to me to say that I had to pay R2, 230 to have it fixed because they came "to the conclusion that the reason a full service is necessary is that your Tissot timepiece has taken a great knock/drop". I never even wore my Tissot in the pool/sea despite the fact that it was waterproof. This is simply a cop-out, or a.
Does Tissot make very poor quality watches, or is there some sort of going on in SA? I don't know, but I do know that I'll never buy a watch from The Swatch Group again.
