I recently received a gift from Truworths which was totally not suitable. When I tried to exchange the gift, within the prescribed period for exchange, I was told I cannot exchange without a gift receipt (which was not given to me).
I never asked for the money back and was quite prepared to pay in on an exchanged article suitable for my needs. Why on earth is this not acceptable? How am I supposed to ask the person who gave me the present to please give me the receipt as I now want to change her gift? How does this exchange affect Truworths?
I have had an account with Truworths for about 30 years now and I have never received this sort of shocking non negotiable service and I certainly will not be purchasing any gifts from Truworths. I will also be spreading the Truworths gift exchange polocy amoung my friends. Not acceptable!!
