In the last six months I have found that the Randfontein branch has a bad habit of re-dating meat products from the butchery department, thus selling rotten meat. This is considered a serious crime with in the retail industry. In the last two months we found in a panini and readymade sandwich cockroaches'. Now this is due to the revamp I am told by management. I spend at least R200-R300 daily in this branch. I get offered a free milk tart at compensation!? Truly, I have enough money to buy a milk tart or other product I feel the need to purchase. I will lay a official complaint with the department of Health on demand that all service departments are closed down up in till such time that they can offer quality products, The biggest mistake Checkers made was thinking that I am a fool and would fall for a freebee. I have spent most of my working career as a Regional Manager for one of S.A.'s biggest retailer, and not because of this I complain, but because I know and understand the basic practice and principals of hygiene. I would highly advise no person to purchase no readymade meals from this branch!
