We purchased a De Longhi coffee machine for a Christmas gift for our parents. We purchased it at the Struben's Valley branch but they did not have stock so they called Fourways and asked them to reserve a machine for us. We picked the machine up the following weekend. When the gift was opened, it was very clear that the machine had been used. There were coffee beans in the grinder and themachine showed that almost 50 cups of coffee had been made. In addition there were parts missing. We took it back to the store and told them to either replace it or to give it to us at a discounted price with the missing parts. They did not have stock of the machine in order to replace it and the manager that could decide on a discount was not there so they offered us the used machine back at full price but with the missing parts. We declined this and asked them to get the manager to call us on Monday, the next working day.By Wednesday we had to call them. They told us they would replace the machine but there was no stock so we would need to wait at least a week and have not received it yet. We are extremely unhappy with the with being sold a used a machine and the process to resolve this.
