Pick n Pay's"Scan Right" policy, (which is often highly regarded by consumer activists such as Wendy Knowler) is not being applied by their Berea store. On 13 Feb 2013 I purchased certain items at the Berea (KZN) store, including 3 Ola Paddle Pop ice-creams which, according to the price on the fridge, were R3.50 each. At the till I was charged R4.59 each. When I went to a lady at the Kiosk to query this, all that happened was that another lady was called to attend to my enquiry, and she, after checking the price, merely processed a refund for R3.30 (the difference between the R4.59 and the correct price of R3.50 (for 3 ice-creams). On 14 Feb I sent a complaint to Pick n Pay Customer Care (their reference 268688) regarding this, and they sent a standard reply stating that the "management team" will get back to me. Still waiting, AND no follow-up from the customer care. I have the "refund till slip" as evidence of the refund of R3.30
