On Saturday afternoon i went purchase a six pack at the Tops in Florida on Goldman street. I took a six pack and held the parcel resting my forearm, as i had my wallet in my other hand. One of the bottles fell and broke. Within seconds, a security guard approached me and a lady, who i assume was the supervisor. She said" why didn't you use a basket", and my response to her was, i only got a six pack, there was no need for a basket and she said, no, you have to use a basket. She said that if i read the notices around, it clearly states that if you break you pay... My response to her was, if i was supposed to use a basket, show me the notice. She insisted on me paying for the broken bottle, and i refused. Since when do you have to pay for a product that broke, by no fault of your own where you are still in the store. The lady then told me to leave the store and never to come back... This supervisor needs to go on training, she has no etiquette and no sense of customer service. I would not have had an issue to pay for the goods, but she approached me as if i were a criminal, and is if i deliberately through the bottle on the floor. Is Spar getting to bog, to worry about one customer?
