I brought a crate of quart beer bottles in for deposit and left them at the front of the store. usually the South African Security Guard at the front will offer to take them and offer to get me a fresh crate. However now there is a foreign Security Guard (Nigerian or Ghanian) who is very disrespectful not offering to take the bottles and making me put the empties right at the back of the store instead of helping me. He also made a remark that I should throw the broken bottle in the crate outside myself, but then was corrected by the teller and still did not apologise. The teller also short changed me for 2 bottles as I brought in 14, 1 broken.
This incident has put me off going to tops in general and will rather go to my local shop. I will also never invest in Span as an entity and put my money in SAB rather. It is a pity how an incident like this can cost Spar and respective shareholders in the long run.
