Edgars Club fails to deliver any service and just steals money. Whenever I need any of the services you supposedly get they never deliver. Discounts on Mango flights and the insurance scheme on household appliances are nonexistent. The latest is the worst. My husband passed away in December. I phoned Edgars with regard to the spousal cover benefit of the club to find out how to claim it. They said all I need is to go to my nearest store and claim it from customer services. After I waited in the que for almost an hour they said I actually had to bring more info with me. I returned to wait hours again and I was informed the day before his death I was upgraded to the classic option entitling me to R10000 cover. Yet they said I cannot claim it because I needed to be on that cover for three months first. Sick of this nonsense I said they must just give me the R1500 from the origional cover. You now say because I was upgraded that one no longer applies. You are just trying to irk your responsibility again. I'm an educated consumer and I know my rights according to the CPA. If you know what is good for you sort this out immediately. Never make use of the service of these!
