Bad return policy at [URL Removed]

I bought and paid for a toy helicopter on [URL Removed]
The product was delivered 2 days after but it was not in working condition.
I called to arrange a return. It took 4 days for them to arrange a courier to collect.
Then 3 days after that, I got an email confirming their receipt of the defectuous toy. The email also said I would have to wait for Kalahari to return the product to its supplier for assessment and that I would only get feedback in 14 days. That makes it a total of 23 days of waiting (this is quite annoying as I bought the product as a birthday present and birthdays don't wait 23 days).

In the first place they deliver a product that is defectuous and to add insult to injury, I have to wait for almost a full month to have any sort of refund/ replacement!
I just don't understand why I as a customer should be punished for shopping at [URL Removed]
