I ordered computer components from Kalahari the 9th of January 2014. I received an e-mail from them that some of the items were going to be late. My order was then split into 4 parcels which I only received the 20th, 24th and 29th of January respectively. This after having to pay a courier fee of R65 while their website clearly states orders above R250 is free?

I then realised that one of the components I ordered was in the wrong format. When I requested a return, a lengthy returns policy was communicated to me - basically indicating that Kalahari will refund me the value of the good minus R55, and minus another 50% if the goods have been damaged (at kalahari's discretion). Also, they could only fetch the goods in a week's time, and I had to allow 14 days after that date for them to process the return?

That means that since order date, I had to wait 3 weeks for the item to be delivered, wait an additional 3 weeks for the return to be processed and then wait (possibly) another 3 weeks for the replacement product to be delivered? That is 9 weeks in total!

By comparison, takealot has offered us excellent service and delivery within 2 days on all orders.
