Credit Reduced

My payment for November was a late payment that was only paid middle December. This was my first late payment and when they phoned me, I informed them that I will make a late payment. After I made the full payment in December I realised that my credit limit was reduced by a thousand rand.

I then phoned the accounts department that informed me that it will be rectified within 24 hours. I went to MR Price 2 days later only to find out that my credit was still reduced by a thousand rand. i again phoned the accounts department and was told that sorry they cannot reinstate my credit.

I want to know why my credit was reduced after only one late payment
