I went to Shoprite checkers at attlyn mall to order birthday cake for my daughter and I was asked when I wanted the cake and my response was on the 2014-01-21 at 09;00 and Thabo the person at bakery section told me that we must make it 10:00 since his shift is only starting at 09:00 or he won't be able to help me in the store and I must go to another Shoprite at Lotus plaza because the is a confectionery there... He gave me all this information that the other guys who are working with him don't make the best cakes, his attitude was bad. I went to management to ask how their orders are done and that if one person is not in and they do not make orders? and still in front of management Thabo was not willing to help me with the cake order even if the instruction was given from his manager... The staff did not even listen to management he just walked away. This is the second time this is happening at the same shop, it seems like the staff there have to be scolded before they can do something and the is no customer service, make its because they are serving black people but I was not happy with the experience there and would rather make my orders with P'n P where I get good service.
