On more than one occasion I have encountered items that items of which the price was first inflated and then " "marked down" to the previous original price. I wanted to buy a backpack with a big sale tag for R599 on it when I found an item on the same rail that was still priced for R499. Just today I bought a couple of discounted items only to see afterwards that I was charged the full original price for them.
