New fridge... I think NOT

I purchased a "brand new" fridge from Makro on the 31st of December 2013. When I woke up this morning I noticed my plugs had tripped and when I switched them back on the fridge was absolutely dead and is warm inside which means that it tripped my power in the first place. I phone Makro Strubensvalley for assistance and get told to phone back on monday the manager is not there, I wasnt too happy with that so asked to speak to his manager and I was put through to Jacob at Makro... who told me that KIC would come out and check the fridge on monday and they would let makro know if they should give me a new fridge or not... What? If i buy something supposedly brand new and its not working after two weeks I would think its pretty obvious it needs to be replaced but instead I dont even get an apology from the manager, I get spoken to like im an or a DOG. When I try to find out how long this will take considering I HAVE NO FRIDGE Jacob cannot answer and in fact avoids the question everytime I ask it. I can almost guarantee this fridge wasnt new to begin with. Thanks for the worst after sale service ever and your faulty fridge! Has Makro heard of the new consumer act??!!
