Order cancelled without my permission

I ordered a book from Kalahari on the 30th of November and was told the book would be arriving on the 24th of December. This already went against the info alongside the product stating that it would be delivered within 14 days but I was fine with this as it was a Christmas gift and simply wanted the item to arrive on time.

Less than 48 hours before Christmas I received an email telling me that my item would not be arriving on time, this was a massive irritation but I did not cancel the order. I subsequently went on holiday for 2 weeks expecting the item to arrive which it did not even though the site still read an estimated arrival date of 24 Dec 2013. I sent an email 3 days ago asking where my order was only to be told that there is no stock (Even though it's available on Amazon etc) and that they have cancelled my order and will credit my account. I did not give any permission to them to do this nor has the money been returned to me. This is an absolute joke of a service, my second email enquiring as to why they cancelled everything without asking me has not been answered either.

THERE IS NO INDICATION ON THE SITE THAT THE ITEM IS COMPLETELY OUT OF STOCK.
