On 11 December I purchased a stove as a Christmas gift for my grandmother. I asked for the stove to be delivered on or before 23 December 2013. Game failed to deliver and I was not able to present the gift to my gran. I subsequently purchased the stove on 27 December from Best Electric who delivered on the same day.

On 7 January I attended to Game to cancel the transaction. I was informed that since I had lost my invoice I would have to depose to an affidavit ONLY from the SAPS. I asked the store manager Cloette, that I would depose the affidavit from any commissioner of oaths. He refused. As an attorney I tried to explain the legal basis for an affidavit. As I was busy explaining, Cloette was rude and kept on interjecting not allowing me to make my statement. I then asked him to allow me to make my point and he continued talking and not allowing me to make my point. Having realised his arrogance and ignorance of the law I simply left the store.
