I was delighted when I walked passed the American Swiss window at Westville, Pavillion and saw a Calvin Klein watch I had been looking for for ages. I went inside and bought it. After paying for the watch, the shop assistant, who was not the friendliest, then took the watch to set the time, and while doing so, broke it! Without apologizing, she then said she would look on their system to see if any of the other branches had another, but this seemed to be the only one left. She then told me it would need to be sent to Calvin Klein to be fixed. I told her I found this unacceptable so she spoke to the manager who then said they would do a refund but as I had paid with my debit card, they couldn't do a transaction reversal and as they had no cash in the shop, I must come back later. Still no apology! I returned an hour later and received the cash refund and was asked to fill out a refund slip with my details but told "not to worry about filling out the reason for the refund"! After being handed the cash, the shop assistant turned and left without a word. I understand accidents happen and I'm usually the last to complain, but I found their attitude absolutely disgraceful!
