While on holiday in George, my 2 sisters, my wife with my 4 month old son went to Billabong Garden Route Mall yesterday. While looking at the items for sale, one of the sales staff passed a comment to another: "Lyk vir my hulle wil steel (Looks like they want to)."
My family was furious and left the store and told me what happened. I went into the store and approached the staff who all immediately denied the statement that he made. My brother was appalled by the statement and rushed into the store and asked the guy to apologise to his wife for the statement, but all he did was deny and walked away and left to the back. No one in the store wanted to apologise.
My family are still in shock, as they cannot believe this is what happened as we are regular customers of the Billabong stores in Cape Town.
This has definitely left a very bitter taste in our mouths and we will make this known.
Something should definitely be done to rectify this individual, as I will be forced to take the matter further as Defamation of character.
