I used 200 of my 240 Thank you points to purchase an item from Boardmans. Boardmans accepted return of the item the next day as it was not suitable, and issued a credit note for R200 points. When I visited Boardmans a week later on 22 December to use the points on "Double Points Day" the R200 points credit could not be found!
They were on neither my Thank You Points Account nor my Edgars account.
When I asked the Branch Manager in Walmer Park (Allen) he said that the points would not be credited back to me- even though Boardmans had accepted return of the item & issued a credit note.
I waited for an hour at Edgars account enquiry, but they could not assist.
One of the supervisiors eventually said that yes I was not the first to report this problem & several other people had also reported points not being credited back to them.
Staff were not able to resolve what must be the simplest of queries.
I am not prepared to waste another hour waiting on the phone to try and find someone, who can help!
Had I not kept credit note- I would have no chance!
Imagine how many people have lost out!
Beware of purchasing with Thank you points! If you return the goods you points are a gonna!
