Incorrect information when opening accounts

My mother opened an account with Woolworths. She got retrenched from work in 2011 because of old age and sickness. We contacted Woolworths, and explained the situation. Faxed and emailed a letter from her employer and affidavid from the police station to say she is unemployed and couldn't pay the account. They flat out refused to accept anything. We went through her statements and it clearly states that should a person be retrenced they will close the account, because she was paying insurance. When we contacted them, they said the insurance she paid was for in the event of death, That is not what the consultants told us the when the account was opend. As it is my mother is struggling to pay off this account because the interest is so high she will never finish paying. Every month the account seem to get more instead of less. Woolworths need to explain to their customers about the insurance before people sign themself into a contract they do not understand and which is not explained to them fully. They especially trick black people who don't fully understand the small prints in the contracts. I want them to keep to their promise and close this account because my mom did pay insurance
