Customers paying for incompetence of staff

On the 11 Feb 2012 I enquired at N1 City re: Account protection plan in the event of Retrenchment and disability on my account as well as on my wife's account in the unfortunate event that I do get retrenched (as I'm the main breadwinner in our household) When the consultant Gerrit Nel printed me a copy of the Personal Financial Services I asked him to double check if all was in order and I wrote partner protection on the slip as he confirmed it (your store should have the original with this handwritten details on as well) I have a copy.
I was retrenched end of January 2013 and when I took my certified documentation to Edgar's N1 City I was told that my wife was not covered under this benefit and that they will only put through the application for my account.
My wife and I opened our accounts in 1994, but I am happy to say that I will no longer be affiliated to your brand.
Word of advise - train your staff on your latest products and benefits as we as customers have to pay for their incompetence.
