In Jan 2010 I decided to consolidate all my accounts due to affordability and applied for a Standard Bank personal loan. When the loan was granted, Standard Bank settled all my debts including all my Woolworths accounts (store card personal loan) and was warned not to open accounts again until the loan was fully paid off as I could be dismissed from work if I bridged the Employment Contract as I am a staff member.

On Tuesday I got a shock of my life when I discovered that my Woolworths store account was still opened with a balance of /- R1396.00 with a 3 Months Arrear Status. This means Woolworths never closed this account despite numerous requests I made to them and someone is/has been transacting on this account. I am furious and frustrated because this can make me lose my job and secondly, I might be handed over to ITC which will dent my creditworthiness. Please help me solve this problem asap. I cannot suffer the consequences for something I did not do and also be held liable for someone's negligence or carelessness.
