ARREAR AMOUNTS ON CLOSED ACCOUNTS

I closed both my Woolworths Store Card as well as my Personal Loan account in 2010 when I took out a consolidation loan from Standard Bank. Early last year I went to the bank to apply for a study loan for my son's studies but the application was declined due to my Woolworths account being in arrears.

I then went to Woolworths Branch in Sandton to enquire what was happening but was told both my accounts were closed, I then left.

To my surprise two months ago when I went to another bank to apply for a personal loan, my application was declined again and they said it was due to my Woolworths account being in arrears. I also noticed that I owe a huge amount which I know nothing about.

I went back to Woolworths, this time in Westgate but no one wanted to assist me at the Enquiries counter. They told me there's nothing they can do therefore I must contact Head Office myself.

Please help me I do not know what to do anymore - I will end up being listed with credit beareux and my life made a living!!
