DEBT PAID IN FULL BUT ITC NOT UPDATED

I had 2 accounts with Edgars, the last one was paid up in August 2012. I phoned and was told that the account is closed. When i was buying a house late in the year i was told i owed Edgars. I phoned and they sent me a paid up letter and said this has been "escalated" and the ITC will be updated. Today almost 6 months ago I wanted to get a credit card but i am told that i owe Edgars! i have called and again this matter will be "escalated" and the ITC will be updated. this is totally unacceptable as it now affects my creditability. I am at a loss as i dont know what else is there to do to rectify this. I have sent an email which was ignored as i received no response to one of the administrators. So frustrated.
