When I opened up my account with you and supplied a 3 month bank statement, I informed you that my salary is deposited on the 20th on every month. When the admin lady pointed out that there is one month where it was paid on the 19th, I told her that is was because the 20th fell over a weekend. This is an exception rather than a rule.
She still loaded the system that where the 20th is over a weekend, that deduction be made on the Friday before.
The problem with this is that my Jan salary was paid on the 19 (as the 20th was on a Sunday), the Debit order went off on Friday 18th - leaving me with charges payable!!!
You will therefore, no longer receive business from me in future.
