Service experienced at spar ferndale

I have to say I experienced spectacularly bad service at this store last night. I paid for my goods with my debit card but the machine reported the transaction declined. Fortunately I have sms notifications enabled and an sms notification informed me that the money had been deducted from account. The cashier casually tells me I have to pay again and wait for my bank to reverse the transaction. I refused, as I do not have sufficient funds to pay for goods and services twice. I asked to speak to the manager and I was told I have to wait for him to finish cashing up at tops. I was kept waiting 20 minutes before he decided to grace me with his presence. All the time the security guards were told to stand watch over me so I don't " anything". I showed him the sms notification which I got but he was unsympathetic and quite frankly apathetic about the whole incident. I didnt even get a "i'm sorry for keep you waiting sir". In fact i was treated more like a criminal than a customer. I have never felt so humiliated. I shall be taking this up with spar customer services and logging a complaint with my bank.
