Woolworths clearly does not care about the consumer that spends a min of R15000 a month with them. I mailed Head office on the 13th of November complaining about products that I purchased one evening after work only
to see the next morning that they were expiring that day. The fruit salad had already appeared opaque which means I couldn't take the chance of eating it as I'm 7 months pregnant.
My query was simple, why keep products on the shelf to point 99 of expiry date. The reason I shopped at woolworths was due to the fact that they never used to keep products close to the expiry date on their shelves. Therefore as a consumer you still have that expectation that your purchase will still be ok for a few days after purchase.
I received an automated reply from Woolworths that they would reply within 48hrs. 11 days later & I haven't even received as much as a phone call or email from them.
My monthly spend clearly means nothing to them!!
Very disappointing!!!
