Sexist and unfai

I was denied access to the store with my backpack, which contains my Wallet, Phone and Keys. The security guard instructed me to leave it along the front window of the store, which I refused on account of and loss that may occur. When i went to address the issue with the store manager, she said i could leave me backpack with the baggage counter which i also refused because my backpack was my "handbag". Why were woman allowed their bags in the store but i was not allowed mine? I even said they could search my back when i exited the store, but the level of attitude I received left a bad taste in my mouth. Shopping lists, my wallet, my phone, my keys and my medication were in my bag. Asking me to part with it but NOT the woman with theirs? That;'s downright rude!
