On 19.10.13 I handed in a HP printer for warranty repair. The printer is covered by a 3-year warranty, and the warranty only applies if the customer has registered the product with HP. I could show a screen printout that my printer had been registered with HP at the time of initial installation. On 24.10.13 Incredible responded that - while it is undisputed that I had registered my printer - their "supplier" (whoever that is, HP I suppose) had advised that warranty will be denied, as I would have had to register the product TWICE, both with HP, giving the SAME information (such as printer type, customer details, where purchased) that I had given with the initial registration.
Incredible hides behind an 'anonymous' supplier and does not represent the interest of their client ("me") against their supplier.
On 30.10.13 I asked to speak to a Director to escalate the matter, but this request was denied.
Incredible sells these printers based on this 3-yr warranty. They even tell you not to forget to register. When installing, I am indeed prompted to register. Then they say one should have registered twice to qualify for the warranty! Incredible must not allow HP to get away with this!
