I had an Edgars account in 2001 and to my knowledge it was up to date and closed!!! I have decided to open up an account recently and to my shock/surprise I was told that I had an outstanding balance of R780.
After calling back and forth for assistance I finally got hold of someone who gave me this amount - I would love to make the payment but was politely told I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO EVER OPEN UP AN ACCOUNT AGAIN BECAUSE IT WAS HANDED OVER!!!
1 - There was absolutely no communication from your side.
2 - Why should I be held responsible??? (I thought it was closed up, I would have paid this amount AGES ago!!!)
3 - This is a unique scenario and I would like to have an account with Edgars.
4 - I WILL NOT pay the amount due because it was beyond my control and almost 13YEARS AGO!!
5 - Are you willing to lose a customer who has excellent accounts at other retailers???
6 - If you ackowledge I am not accountable for your error I will gladly pay this amount and would love to wear clothing from your retail outlet!
