No exchange or refund policy

Currently I am 9 months pregnant with my first child, friends and family were super excited and rushed out to buy gifts.

A friend bought a Baby Care sound monitor in May 2013 for me, and cleverly kept the original slip... I had my baby shower two weeks ago - wanting to upgrade the sound monitor for a more expensive sound and movement monitor i went to Baby Boom to do the exchange and do the upgrade.
Initially i went to Baby Boom in Clearwater as i was in the area - the initial greeting was cold and unhelpful - and then i was flatly told that they would not do the exchange and that i should go to the Gleneagles branch were the goods were intially bought - small shop thinking, don't you think?
Thanking the store clerk for their ever so unhelpful service i drove the additional 50km's to Gleneagles branch - where i had to explain to the store clerk again the story - the store clerk did not have any clear notion on what to actually do and immediately started with the "ummm's and yes buts and well you see" - i told the store clerk to forget about it and took my stuff and left.

A store for mothers and babies?? I will NEVER spend another cent at ANY Baby Boom again!
