On the 14th February 2013 Edcon (pty) ltd issued a trace alert on my name allerging that I owe certain amount with transunion. in actual fact i never had an account with all Edcon outlets, I went to to outlets: Edgars, Jet, legit, boardmans and CNA to check with them and they could not find anything except a reward cash card which was issued to me when buying cash. I went to the Edcon head office in Crown Mines Press Avenue to make a follow up regarding the trace alert. the head office refered me to a branch in Selby which they mentioned that it deals with complaints. at the reception in Selby I was put on A telephone speaker speaking to a consultant who mentioned that an investigation will be carried out about the trace alert. No consultant came back to me with feedback. I made several calls to the same branch trying to solve the problem until a consultant told me that there is nothing can be done because i don't have an account with Edcon. all I needed was Edcon to investigate and remove a trace alert on my name because it jeopardises my credibility.
