On 2013-09-29 my son purchased a PS2 game from the CNA branch situated in the Glenfair Shopping Mall. The game was found to be defective and my son attempted to return same to CNA for a refund or exchange. He first dealt with the cashier who informed him that they do not exchange or refund games if returned unsealed. It goes without saying that the alleged exchange policy had not been communicated to my son when he made the purchase. The obvious was explained to the cashier i.e. that is was impossible to ascertain whether or not a game is working without actually removing it from its packaging, but to no avail. Escalating the matter to the branch manager also proved singularly unsuccessful as she repeated the same refrain.
I am advised that the Consumer Protection Act protects consumers from lame excuses/unfair "policies" like this and am very disappointed with CNA, being a well respected brand, for adopting same.
