My son received two of the same xbox games for his birthday. The person who gave him the same game said they bought it at Makro. I took it back to Makro to EXCHANGE. Manager in returns dept refused to exchange the sealed game for something else. I tried to explain that it was a gift and i don't have a receipt - but don't want a refund, only want to exchange. Any other store i've visited EXCHANGES without a receipt. The manager was very rude, just laughed me off! In front of other customers, who were also all standing around and complaining too. I have never had a problem with exchanging something without a receipt at any other retail store - until i came across Makro!
I then took the game to Game store in Alberton. With no questions and just smiles, they exchanged the game for me for something else, even though it was not even purchased there!!
Amazing how Game was able to keep their customer happy when it wasn't even their own stock or their problem, but Makro did nothing to even try accommodate their customer. I'm glad i left all my shopping behind in Makro and went to Game - from now on i am supporting Game!
