Furniture City
Sold damaged TV

On the 18 August 2013 I bought a Sony LCD TV 117cm. The salesman who assisted was Lawrence. He had one set of TV left. Unfortunately he said he cannot switch the TV on as where it was his plugs on the wall were not working, but he promised us that the television is in good hands. I told him that I wont start using the television as I was waiting for the guy to put in the brackets. I paid R 8 999.99.I got home and put it in a spare room as I was waiting for the brackets,

After two weeks I put the brackets, when we switched on the TV it had a ink in the middle of the screen. I immediately took it back, Lawrence said he will sort it out. After a week we were given a quotation from Sony of about R 6 000.00. The Area Manager said we must pay for the repairs as the TV was fine when we bought according to his knowledge. The Area Manager couldn't answer my 2 questions that why didn't his sales guy explain that we only have 7 days to return the TV, why we were not told about T&C. The worst part is that I spent R 9000.00 I have no TV, we cant even speak or meet the Area Manager as we not allowed to give our side of the story. I am beyond words of how it feels like to lose so much money.
