What happened at Pick n Pay yesterday is probably one of the most embarrassing things that has ever happened to me and my wife. We went to PnP to get some cinnamon doughnuts and entered PNP and went straight to the bakery department and saw they did not have any and immediately turned around and headed back to the exit. We could not have been in the store for more that a minute and upon exiting I noticed the security guard (Nomakwezi from Phangela Group) giving us a filthy look, which I found amusing and mentioned to my wife. We were almost at Woolworths entrance when the guard shouted at my wife from the PnP entrance "Hey ciecie come here" (about 50 meters away). We were shocked and could not believe she was calling my wife and continued shouting in front of other customers refusing to come to us. In short we came back to the store and asked to see the manager (Alexi) in his office with the guard to explain how disgusted we felt. The guard accused us of going to the pharmacy (complete other side of store) and leaving without paying for goods. She could not explain why she assumed this, and my wife is still shaken by this ordeal. We are looking at taking legal action, unacceptable!
