I bought a voucher from a deal site on Wednesday which gets you R50 off your grocery bill at any Checkers in the Western Cape. When I got to Checkers last night I asked the woman at the kiosk how to use my voucher and she explained that I just give it to the cashier before they start scanning my items and the unique code will get me R50 off. When I get to the till then the cashier has no knowledge of this voucher. We then call management and 2 contollers come out as well. None of them know anything about this voucher. How does Checkers upper management run a deal across the Western Cape without informing the stores of how it works? What is worse is the woman by the kiosk knows about it but none of the management. I had to then pay an extra R50 out of my pocket which I was not planning on spending. I think this is pathetic from such a big store! I would like a public explaination on Hello Peter and not your generic message please.
