At 16:57 today (2711/13) I went to Checkers Hyper in The Boardwalk and had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with a very unfriendly, rude and surly cashier on till number 11. Firstly she did not greet, then as she was scanning my items she was throwing them back towards the packer. I paid by card and she slammed down the slip for me to sign along with the pen. Once I had signed she snatched the slip back. This woman needs to be taught how to deal with the public and should b sent on some form of basic etiquette course or else she needs to find a job where she doesn't deal with the public. I want feedback from management about what steps are going to be taken against her. She needs to be given some form of verbal or written warning for her conduct. On the whole Checkers Hyper staff (including the trainee manageress) are rude and unhelpful. Their store manager (an African gentleman) is the only one that is friendly and helps where he can. Unfortunately he has pulled the short straw when it comes to decent staff working for him. I trust this cashier will be taken to task.
