I have had the most awful harassing phone call from a call centre about my account being a few days overdue. I am usually on time with my payments unless I am overseas and I do travel extensively. This is not the first time I have been called but if the credit office has a look at my payments over the last few years they will see that I have never ever missed a payment. When I went into the La Lucia store and payed (more than the required amount) I mentioned my dissatisfaction to the girl on the till and she said that many people were complaining and she knew a few customers who had closed their account because of the treatment. Surely a gentle sms as Truworths does would be the first thing to remind customers that their payment is late not this kind of treatment. I am seriously thinking of closing the account.
That call was followed up by an sms saying Edcon had loaded a slow payer listing to the Credit Bureaux.
