Last week Tuesday I bought 2 pairs of shoes from Jet in West Street Durban.
I was unsure if I had enough credit but when I got to the till I asked the cashier and she said I did.
I had paid for my shoes and in general, most people dont look at the slips to see what balance we have left etc.
The cashier did not tell me that I had gone over the limit (even though I had spent under what she said I had available) and have to pay R213 so that my account would be in order.
I only found out when I phoned the call centre sometime this week!
I think it is really deceitful for them to tell us we have sufficient credit and after we purchase we end up owing money we are not aware of.
This is the second time it has happened and it may be giving people a bad credit name as we are unaware because no one tells us we have to pay cash over and above our normal instalment.
Please train your staff and also the west street staff are the most miserable people ever! They act as if we are inconveniencing them and look as though they are working in a government building doing us favour!
Also how is it possible for us to have day limits and go way over what our actual credit limit is?
