I am really disgusted by the edcon group and will be taking further legal action against them. I have paid up my account in full with them early this year (thankfully i have proof of this as i paid via eft. my account was not updated. after over 4 months of waiting for a paid up letter which i was promised i decided to go to the mall and get a print of my account. I have it here with me it says that i have not made payment and that i have an account balance of over 1000.00. Sooo upset. i called but their customer service number just rings.(think they need to employ more staff.) Now i have no choice but to write up to the Ombudman with proof of all my calls to them -receipts of all my payment (which i have). this is not only affecting my credit status negatively but also stops me from my home purchase. I was given an amount to pay to settle this account and when i called in prior to this i was told i would need to pay 225.00 more--Ridiculous> as i am incurring more costs by all my efforts to make payments, call at least 5 times a day with my cellular etc. I will also need to get them to pay for all the useless calls to them that i have made.
