We placed an online order for a Serta Castor Pocket mattress on 29 December 2012 (part of an insurance claim). It being the end of the year, I didn't expect a response in the advertised 48 hour window. However, nearly two weeks later we only received a call that someone would contact us.By the 18th of January, we still haven't received any communication from Dial-a-bed. I phoned the number listed on their site, but the consultants were unable to assist with it being an online order (???)
Eventually got hold of someone that broke the news that the mattress was unavailable, and that they had upgraded me to another type (without checking first). We ordered the Serta for it's characteristics, but we were now "upgraded" to a foam mattress! The person I spoke to was all but helpful and it felt as if this was a complete waste of her time. I made it clear that I would not be happy with the foam mattress, but was willing to take it as a loan while they sort out the Serta order. Again, now follow-up from them, so I have to call... again. Now they are unable to give me a delivery date, but it can take up to "14 working days". If I'm lucky, I would have waited 6 weeks for the product...
