From 1st of September Sunday Times is running a build up to National Braai day with an assortment of goodies to go with each Sunday's paper. On the first I rushed to Pick 'n Pay mini to buy the paper and get my promotional item for the day. When I get there I'm told that the promotion only starts on the 8th. "My eyes deceived me or there was a mis-print on Sunday Times of the 24th August, I buy the paper and head back home. When I get home I page through the 24th's paper... guess what? I don't need to visit an Optometrist yet and the staff at Pick 'n Pay mini in Faerie Glen is either clueless or lying.
Nonetheless I let this one pass. on the 8th I'm there early to avoid the "whilst stocks last story"... Guess what? I'm Bic lighter-less, I ask for my promotional item and I'm told "the supplier didn't deliver"!!! Really? That's the excuse? I'm sure Pick 'n Pay knew about this somewhere in August and yet I'm told the supplier didn't deliver.
Now since this is the closet outlet to me what am I suppose to do on the 15th? Drive to another PnP? Maybe I must just by the 2l Coke with my own money and save petrol. After all, I don't buy Sunday Times for the promotional items...
