On May 11 I went into Foschini with the intention of closing off my account. I bought a bag and after that told the sales lady that I wanted to close my account and that I needed an updated balance. I asked her if the balance included the bag I had just purchased and she said yes. I paid the balance and a call was made to their head office and I informed them that I wanted to close my account. They said it would be closed within a month. Now I get an sms saying that I still owe them. My issues is why was I told that I was paying the outstanding balance if it was not the case?
