Three months ago I bought the opera bed (R4900.00) and opera 2 drawer pedestal (R1500), only one, as the store only had one, and I took it off the floor as there was no stock at the back, and paid full price for display, which i did not mind. I've been going back weekly to all stores in the Gauteng region for the other pedestal to no avail. I was also told I could order one, and pay R400?? To complete a set??? @Home Design Qaurter has two display units on the shop floor, where @Home at Lifestyle crossing gave us a display with another one on the floor, Design Qaurter said they cannot give off the floor.
Why have items on the shop floor, when you are not able to purchase them? Why is every signle store continuing to advertise it on the floor, when there is no stock for two months? I was informed today some stores only get one? Is this to keep customers begging for the other?
Today I decided to drive to Centurion, and was told you need to place and order, and wait a week minimum.
If I had known our main bedroom would be incomplete for four months, or more, I would of purchased a complete set elsewhere, and better off warning other customers before they waste money too.
