We went to Strubens Valley store looking for a bed. We found the bed we wanted (Malibu Stacey Bed box with Slide) on the shop floor and asked if they had stock. We were told that they had no stock and that the bed has been discontinued. We were told to try other stores. I went to Design Quarter and again saw the bed (in fact both the girls' bed and boys pirate bed) were there on the shop floor. Again I asked for stock and was told no stock and discontinued. The price of the bed at the Strubens Valley store was R2500 or thereabouts and the cost at DQ was R3700 - this in itself is ridiculous. I asked at DQ if I could have the display bed at a discount. Only 10% was offered. I think it is unacceptable to have an item on the floor and two different stores which is not available to buy or even order. The item should be removed from the floor. My 3.5 year old has seen the bed she wants and I am unable to get it. I expect Mr Price to find a bed at one of their stores.
