I purchased two Grafton Everest couches end April. Each couch cost R5000.
After two months I noticed that the material is making fluff, especially where we are sitting (I change the cushions every week) after another month it was getting so bad and although I paid so much for it, it started looking "cheap".
I took one of the slip covers back to Furniture City as I am not satisfied with the condition of the material. Grafton Everest stated that there are nothing wrong with the material but that it is caused due to another fabric rubbing against it eg scatter cushions! this was a total surprise to me as the couches was sold to me with 5 lose cushions on each couch? I also use a blanket to cover me when I am sitting and was told this also causes damage? I also have clothes on when I am sitting - if fabric against fabric is causing damage are we expected not to be clothed when seated?
If the material looks like this after 4 months how will it be looking after 4 years?
Furniture City has a clear CPA policy that they will refund or replace within 6 months, but now they are just referring me back to Grafton Everest?
